Thyro-T2 is a synthetic thyroid hormone which may be even better than our own natural T3 for fat loss. T2 functions very similar to T3, but unlike T3 it does not burn muscle while it is burning fat. T2 also converts slow-twitch fibers to fast-twitch fibers, allowing "endurance" fibers to convert to "strength" fibers. How Does T2 Work?
The thyroid is a very important hormonal gland which plays
an equally important part in your body's metabolism and growth. Natural thyroid hormones come in two forms: T4, the inactive stable prohormone and T3, the active short lived metabolite of T4. T3 and T4 are responsible for increasing your basal metabolic rate. When your body is not producing enough T3 and T4, your metabolism may slow and you may see your body adding on those extra pounds even though you may be "working your butt off" in the gym! In a study comparing the effects of T4, T3, and T2 on hepatic oxygen consumption specifically, they found that only T2 was able to stimulate rapid hepatic oxygen consumption. In short, it would theoretically work quicker to burn more energy (fat). The thyroid is the thermostat of the body, and regulates the speed of all metabolic processes in almost every cell in your body. It also helps regulate how the calories in the food you eat are used - either for energy, or stored as fat. T2 also helps with how much energy you have (or don't have!). As you can see, T2 is a VERY important thyroid hormone to have if you're trying to lose weight, and it can have a very significant impact on how your body functions!
Where's The Scientific Proof?
In one study using human mononuclear blood cells, T2 increased the rate of respiration significantly. This was without inhibiting TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) nearly as severely as T3 and T4 do. This means you can use T2 WITHOUT shutting down the natural production of your body’s own thyroid hormones. Another study also examined T2’s effect on TSH levels, and it took 13 times as much T2 to cause the same TSH inhibition that T3 did. Basically, it is much safer in respect to keeping your body in a state of homeostasis and ensuring natural and optimal organ function. Essentially, T2 is a very beneficial supplement to increase your active circulating thyroid hormone, much like T3 and T4 hormones, without the side effects you would get from exogenous T3 or T4 use.
Take 1-2 capsules per day (example: morning and lunch or morning and before exercise) on an empty stomach. Non-stimulant, THYRO-T2 may be combined with other fat loss aids.
